Two things made my heart full this morning. The first was waking up to giggles. Normally, I wake up to a super smiling face, but it is usually right next to my face. Actually, in my face. Not that I mind, but that didn't happen this morning. Instead, we heard sweet laughter and words coming from our oldest's bedroom. Since he and his baby brother have been bunking together, nights and mornings have become SO much easier in our house. But our normal routine is for LJ to wake up super early and run to find me. This morning, I guess he decided to just wake up his big brother instead. It was a precious moment that made both their dad and I smile. We are so blessed.
Soon, LJ ran into our room and I let him play with his dad while I went to check on J. I crawled into his bed and got some snuggles. He told me that the night before, L was having trouble going to sleep after we tucked them in for the night. This is what he told me happened:
JW: I decided to rub L's head and sing him three lullabyes.
Me: Oh, you did? What did you sing to him?
JW: Twinkle, Twinkle, Rock a Bye Baby, and Blue Skies and Rainbows.
Me: What a great big brother you are! Did that help L go to sleep?
JW: Yup. Guess I learned how to turn him off, huh?
Bwahahahaha! We both started laughing. If only that were true...
...just kidding! Now who would want to turn "off" this precious boy??? ;)
